Any predictions on crowds for this Saturday the 17th? It’s our only day for both parks so we want to be able to maximize our time.
It’s expected to be busy on Saturday, but I don’t think it will be too packed since it’s not the summer season yet. Get there early!
Thanks!
According to this online Disneyland Crowd Calender, Saturday 17th should be a 7/10 for crowded (with 1 being a ghost town and 10 being insanely crowded). May 28-30 should be between 6-7. Check out the site, it breaks down crowds over both parks: http://www.rmhtravel.com/disneyland-365-crowd-calendar.html
I wonder if this heat will keep the crowds away on Friday? It’s around 100 degrees, so we are hoping people will stay at home. It’s too hot!
There is a possibility I went on Wednesday and there were only like 15 min lines except splash mountain which was 50
Disneyland was pretty empty on Friday for most of the day, but it definitely got busier around 4pm. I guess all the kids got out of school. It’s not as hot as the last few days though that’s for sure.
Yes, all the teenagers show up in the evening for Grad Night!
Just got back from our trip to Disneyland. We were there Tues-Fri. If it hadn’t been for the brutal heat, it would have been perfect. It felt crowded, but I can honestly say that we never waited more than 30 min. to get on anything. Average wait time was 10-20 min. We did get fast passes for things like Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Indiana Jones. Learned a trick: When the park opens, STAY AWAY from Fantasyland. Don’t even try it, because that’s where everyone goes first. Go directly to Splash Mountain on the outskirts of the park. When we did this, our wait was only 10 min. After we got off that ride, we promptly got a fast pass to get back on in an hour. As soon as we used that, we went over to Space Mountain and got a fast pass. When we used that one up, we immediately got another one for the same ride. So, if you start with the rides on the outside of the park and get your fast passes, you’ll get to ride a lot more for your money. Stay away from Dumbo and the Matterhorn. Totally NOT WORTH IT for the wait times. From now on, we have decided that we will only visit DL in late fall or Jan/Feb. Not worth risking the high heat.
Avoid going to Disneyland on a Grad Night if you can. It is very crowded, especially at night. Long rides everywhere. We were only able to get on a few rides.
