FASTPASS is a must! I agree, it willl get less crowded once schools start again.
Hopefully after Labor Day the crowds will die down. Lots of people want to see Cars Land before the summer ends. I went last week and the lines at DCA were actually longer than Disneyland’s.
I also recommend getting to DCA early. We went on Wednesday and it was hot and very crowded by the afternoon. Waiting in long lined in the heat is no fun.
We went to Disneyland 6/26-7/2 and everyday Carsland was busy. Radiator Springs Racers had a wait time of 150-180 minutes everyday. We found out that you have to be at California Adventure right when they open the gate in order to get a fast pass. We lined up in a long line to get the fast pass right at 8am and it took about 25-30 minutes to get through the fast pass line and we got a return ticket for 3:55pm. The fast passes are usually gone in an hour to an hour and 15 minutes so be there on time! So many people were disappointed that the fast passes ran out so quickly and didn’t know that you have to get them when the park opens.
Late August is when a lot of schools get back in session in SoCal. That should help lighten the crowds.

A bit busy today, but not super crowded really. a lot of wait times are only 15-20min. I think the heat keeps the big crowds away and schools are starting soon

Schools are starting again! Both DL and DCA are a lot less crowded now, still kinda hot though.
California Adventure is AWESOME now!! Still love Disneyland of course but they did a great job with Cars Lands LOVE IT!!!
